Looked after our father James for the last few weeks of his life. We couldn't have asked for a better place. The staff were amazing, they couldn't do enough to make his time there as comfortable as possible. We will be forever grateful to the staff and management.

My family and I cannot rate the Park Hills Nursing Home team highly enough.

From first admission, our mother Jean was cared for with love, respect and dignity for a total of10 months, and during the COVID pandemic.

During this time, the team retained robust, appropriate healthcare rules to ensure the health and safety of their residents, staff and visitors. The on-going provision of care for our mother never wavered and the approach taken ensured that she was unaffected by the virus which undoubtedly allowed us more time with her in 2021.

We are forever grateful to Barbara, Zoe, Carys, Rachel, Debbie and the whole team at Park Hills Nursing Home. Thank you.

My brother took up residence here for the last 18 months of his life after suffering a debilitating stroke. My brothers and I are forever grateful to Barbara and all the team for the wonderful, compassionate care they gave to my brother and also to ourselves which made an extremely stressful and upsetting period into one of relief and gratitude. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were so incredibly impressed with their level of professionalism, support and care. Every member of the team played a major role in not only making my brother's final months comfortable but also contributed positively to his state of mind. Visiting him at Park Hills was always something I looked forward to because everyone was so warm with an uplifting generous spirit. My Dad, Ken, was in Parkhills for a couple of months prior to his death. There are no words in the dictionary to describe how wonderful Barbara and all the staff were with Dad and ourselves as his family. The care was second to none! Humour, kindness, dignity and respect. So reassuring as a family to know Dad was in safe hands. We were with him at the end and the staff made sure it was a special time for us all...and one they shared with us. We will never forget you xxx

My mum, who has home carers from this home, has just experienced two weeks residential respite here, whilst I returned to County Durham to look after my husband following surgery.

As a retired nurse with over 35 experience, I want to say what a fantastic caring environment this home provides, from the day she was admitted, until her leaving, she has received care of an outstanding quality, and felt safe, secure and at home throughout her stay.

Every single member of staff should all be proud of the way they give care, of a high standard, caring, compassionate and thoughtful.

Without a single doubt, I would recommend this home, it provides the level of care I would give to my mum, not a recommendation given lightly.

All my years in nursing give me a unique insight into acceptable levels of care, and my mum has received a superior standard of care here.

Speaking on behalf of Tanya as her 23 year partner, Alan, I have never met a more caring and capable set of home carers. Over a period of 9 months until her passing and meeting approximately 25 carers, Tanya was cared for with love expertise and friendship. Their advice on all matters, professionalism and care was second to none. I miss Tanya so much but I also miss the contact with these lovely people who became such a big part of our life and throughout Tanyas final journey. Thank you.
